On Tuesday, March 13 at 9:00 a.m., the Human Services Committee will be holding a hearing at the Legislative Office Building on a Medicaid Waiver bill that would help service ASD adults without mental retardation. As you are all aware, currently, if you do not have mental retardation, but you do have ASD, there are no services for adults in Connecticut. This bill will help change that by helping to fund, continue and expand the services started by the Autism Pilot Program.
TO MAKE IT HAPPEN, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
We need to have as many families as possible show up on Tuesday morning to show the legislature just how many families are affected by ASD's and how vital these services are for our loved ones and friends. Please make your plans NOW to attend.
Call the CT Autism Spectrum Resource Center at their new number 203-265-7717 to let them know you are attending and also to find out special parking instructions.
Please make every effort to attend. Our voices need to be heard!
