Charter Oak State College is seeking a

Coordinator/Instructor, Alternative Route to Certification in Early
Childhood Education 

RESPONSIBILITIES: The coordinator will lead a consortium of educational
institutions offering early childhood programs to develop and administer
a new alternate route to early childhood certification program. The
coordinator is responsible for working with a policy committee comprised
of members from each of the participating institutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree required, Ph.D. preferred and
minimum of three (3) years of college teaching experience in early
childhood, special education, or human growth and development.
Experience teaching in an early childhood certification program
preferred.  Should be knowledgeable of NAEYC competencies, early
childhood care delivery systems, and early childhood degree programs.
Must possess strong organizational, oral and written communication, and
computer skills.  

These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate
alternate experience.

STARTING SALARY: $54,380 annually plus full State-supported benefits.
Grant Funded through June 30, 2008, with possible continued funding -
Full time 40 hours
