REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IN  FINDING/PAYING FOR CHILD PSYCHIATRISTS (Source: 
NAMI CT, January 1,  2007)  
The Attorney General and the Child  Advocate's office are looking for 
families who have had difficulty finding a  child psychiatrist in the state and/or 
obtaining funding/insurance coverage for  a child psychiatrist. They would like 
to speak directly with those who can  substantiate the assumption that very 
few child psychiatrists accept insurance,  and that it is difficult to get an 
appointment with a child psychiatrist. If the  experience above applies to you 
or someone you know, contact, via e-mail, Ann  Nelson at NAMI CT. Her email 
address is ann.h.nelson at snet.net.  She would like to talk to you about your 
situation and to get your permission to  share your information with the Child 
Advocate's office. NAMI-CT provides  support, education and advocacy for thousands
